The Scoop:
Lake Palestine in February.......can be tough (like in 2014 when we had 19 zeros) or can be pretty dang good. I'd say 2016 falls in the latter. Although we didn't have a monster 30 lbs sack we had lots of solid, double digit bags brought in.
Mr. Bill Gift brought in the tournament heavy sack on Saturday of 18.47lbs to take FIRST place.
SFA lad John-Michael Brattlof nailed down SECOND Place with a limit at 16.97lbs.
Lance Eitel was THIRD at 16.64. "Coach" Tommy Crammer drives in from Houston to take FOURTH at 14.92 and rounding out the final paid place was Mr. Jeff "Put me down for 14" Fisher to take FIFTH place.
The Tournament Big Bass was weighed in by new member and long time Fishers of Men Director, Danny Simth. That fish was 7.25 lbs.
Second Big Bass went to Lance Eitel at 6.47.
We had 27 anglers show up for the derby. The new Point System shows some moving around in the leader board. Should be interesting to watch the point swings throughout the year.
